Gutter Replacement Cost Calculator

Enter your gutter run in linear feet, pick a material and profile, and estimate materials, installation labor, downspouts, removal, and total budget.

Gutter stock. Copper is the most expensive; vinyl the cheapest.

Height factor only. Combined with — but separate from — install difficulty.

Access, roof pitch, and layout. A separate labor multiplier from stories.

Leave 0 to use the $4.50/ft base before difficulty and story multipliers.

How We Calculated This

  • Gutter material = linear ft × material rate × profile multiplier (k-style 1.0, half-round 1.25).
  • Corners = count × $18 (materials); downspouts = count × $55 (combined material + labor).
  • Labor = linear ft × labor rate × install-difficulty multiplier × story multiplier. Difficulty (easy 0.85, average 1.0, hard 1.4) and stories (1→1.0, 2→1.2, 3→1.45) are SEPARATE multipliers applied independently.
  • Removal (when enabled) = linear ft × $1.25/ft; accessories = the entered allowance.
  • Total = materials + labor + other + contingency. Cost per linear ft = total ÷ linear ft.

Assumptions

  • All unit prices are editable planning assumptions, not verified national averages.
  • Seamless aluminum is assumed when aluminum is selected.
  • Stories and install difficulty are independent labor multipliers.

What's excluded

  • Fascia / soffit repair
  • Roofline carpentry
  • Gutter guards
  • Drainage / grading
